KTM, Serious Preparations for Dakar 2013

There is not much time left until the Dakar 2013 will kick off, sending the toughest riders of the planet to the harsh South American deserts for 15 days. KTM's riders Marc Coma and Cyril Despres went to the south of France for some preparative rides on their new bikes and trying to get the machines set up the best way possible.
Funny to listen to the two pilots and Alex Doringer (the rally team manager) speaking about the Dakar challenges and the way this competition has changed their lives. All three agree that the Dakar rally is highly addictive and you only have to race it once to be enthralled by all the uniqueness and awesome character of this rally.

Cyril Despres is going to wear the number 1 on his machine, as the winner of the 2012 rally, and still he claims there is so much more to winning than the simple gesture of holding the trophy on the podium. With KTM having won no less than 11 consecutive Dakar rallies, we expect the 2013 battle to be at least as exciting as the ones in the past.

Despres and Coma have won the last 7 titles for KTM, with the French on the first podium for 7 times and the Spanish rider 4 times.
