Kicherer is a tuner of hot Mercedes that’s going places. They usually have a thing for matte black paintjobs, but we’re glad they wend a different route with this bad boy. The company has revealed a few shots of their program for a car that’s relatively new and untouched, the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster.
The kit is called the SLS Roadster Supersport GT/R, which is a nice way of saying it’s got GT lines and is a low off the ground as that squirl that almost got hit by the Murcielago on the track.
Getting back to the aftermarket changes made to the SLS Roadster, the most notable of these are the new grille that is hand made and does away with the big garish Mercedes star and replaces it with big garish fins.
From the side, we spot huge 20 inch wheels that have five black double spokes and a polished lip. The SLS also sits closer to those rims thanks to coilover suspension featuring a 'Front Up' system that raises the front of the car by pressing a button, so you won’t leave any carbon bits on the speed humps.
On the performance side of things, Kicherer has kicked things up a gear by fitting the car with even more insane levels of power. The V8 lump now produces 630 horsepower instead of 571, thanks in part to a new stainless steel exhaust system and a sports air filter. The tuners can also fit a sports cat that will bump output to 650 horsepower, which is enough to push you to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds.
