Korean carmaker Kia wants to emulate the VW’s Golf Plus with their very own C-segment MPV design. The car called the Carens has already been announced by the company, which has also released a previous teaser sketch ahead of its official unveiling at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Now, Kia has released three more images showing what look like actual bits of the production car, photoshoped onto sketches of the body. The grille is pure 2012 Cee’d in its design, while the headlight are slightly more elongated, almost touching the frame.
The engine lineup will be quite simple to remember, as it will only be made up of 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter units in diesel and petrol form. However, this MPV might actually come with AWD, as the Hyundai version of the same car is to be called the ix30.
Expect this new Kia model to be produced in Europe and to go on sale early next year.
autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
