Kevin Durant is a basketball player who may be a pretty cool guy, but we can bet a lot of money he’s not as cool as his big black van. The van in question was filmed by his next door neighbor in a one minute video shown on YouTube.
The video must be amazing since it got over 2 million views in just seven days, right? Well, we hate we have to spoil it for you, but it's just a pimped-out van.
In style similar to that of MTV Cribs, the player takes us around his vehicle. First off, we see the big chrome wheels with “good Texas caps on them”. What American sportsman doesn’t like some pimped up rims on a car, right? Even the worst cars in the world deserve some bling bling wheels to give them street cred.
Showing us around the interior of the van, we see it has “goodwood grain” covering the dashboard and what he describes as being an on-board “fidgerator”. You can’t really say a car has been customized until you have your name somewhere on it, in this case all six headrests being embroidered with Kevin’s initials.
For entertainment on long journeys, the van is fitted with a plasma screen and an X-box. The best part of the video is the verbal exchange between the camera man and Kevin. KD says “Yeah I got the X-box,” but the cameraman replies “Yeah, i got that too,” then KD says “But I got the speakers.” That does not impress him either “Yeah I got that too”, after which KD replies “And my cup holder is a fridge”, finally impressed his neighbor who says “Daaaaamn”.
