True Evel Tour to Start at Ace Cafe London

The original motorcycles, famous jump leathers, personal memorabilia, and untold photos and stories, belonging to renown daredevil Evel Knievel will be exhibited on a world tour that kicks off December 4, 2010. However, a day before, Knievel’s eldest son, Kelly, will be attending Ace Cafe London, to officially launch the tour.

“My dad was an inspiration to millions of people and it is my honour to share some of his most treasured possessions and stories with his fans and kids around the world,” stated Kelly.

Kelly’s one-off talk at the Ace, ‘Untold Stories about Evel Knievel An Evening with Kelly Knievel’ will offer an insight to what it was like to have Evel as your dad. The evening will be hosted by motorbike enthusiast and ex-Top Gear presenter Steve Berry.

Evel currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most broken bones, with 35. “Evel Knievel is an inspiration to people – young and old – who recognise they want to be in control of their own destiny. People who want to go out and do great things. People who use drive, determination, personality and hard work to become their own legend. People inspired to become their own brand of “GenerationEvel”,” the tour’s organizers say.

The True Evel Tour opens in the Metro Centre, Newcastle, England on December 4 and will be located at first floor near the town square for one month. After the grand opening, the “True Evel” tour will then be loaded on a specially constructed lorry and travel around the world.

Countries that will host the tour to date include: Italy, Spain, Austria, The United Arab Emirates, Scotland, France, Ireland and Hungary.
