Keira Knightley Chanel Ad Teaser Released, Ducati Included

We were reporting a while back about a strange, yet pleasant to the eye, view of English actress Keira Knightley squeezing a classic Ducati motorcycle between her legs, while filming a new Chanel TV ad. We now come to bring you what seems to be a teaser-like behind-the-scenes look of that ad.

Created to promote Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle perfume, the makers of this ad used the classic pretty girl atop a motorcycle recipe.

Knightley wears a beige colored suede Chanel catsuit and boots and custom jet helmet from Les Ateliers Ruby. The Ruby Belvedere helmet, also in beige, perfectly matches the vintage Ducati 750 Super Sport machine’s paint scheme, which Knightley doesn’t really ride in the true meaning of the word.

As for the jumpsuit the actress wears in the ad, this has been specially designed for her by Karl Lagerfeld. "They said, 'something like a catsuit', and I went: Ok... It was completely unexpected. It’s a Chanel superwoman I think," she says in the teaser below this article.

The new Coco Mademoiselle film 'Gabrielle' starring Keira Knightley and the Ducati machine, and directed by Joe Wright, will debut on March 21 on the Chanel website.

As for the Ducati 750 Super Sport used in the ad, the 1974 bike is considered to be the most significant production bike in Ducati's history, mostly because it offered the highest standards of handing and performance available at that time and essentially saved Ducati from extinction.

On the other hand, the Ruby Belvedere helmet is a luxury safety equipment that makes us think of a retro-futuristic world. It comes with an articulated visor that covers the riders entire face, and acts as a pivoting windscreen.
