Kbb’s Brand Image Awards use the consumers' view on the market & products and recognize the brands that managed to create the best image from a certain point of view during the course of the past year. The data used is collected from Kbb’s Market Intelligence Brand Watch Study, that surveys 12,000 new vehicle customers on the company’s website. It seeks to determine what factors are the most influential for purchasing a new vehicle and recognizes the carmakers' achievements in developing and maintaining brand values that have an impact on the public.
This year’s edition of the awards sees multiple companies register consecutive yearly wins. 2010 is the third year in which Mercedes-Benz gets the Best Prestige Brand title, showing that the company has managed to maintain its premium image on the market. In addition to that, Ford has been named the Most Rugged Truck Brand for the second year in a row, a title that is very important for the truck market.
