As with any major automotive event, the picture would not be complete without some type of top to go along with the show itself. The 2010 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is no exception and, four days into its debut, the top ten hottest cars and concepts attending have been put on one list by Kelley Blue Book (KBB).
"After the most amazing year most of us auto industry veterans have ever experienced, including a complete overhaul of the domestic landscape, bankruptcies, executive turnover and an ever-changing product focus, this year's Detroit Auto Show had a completely different vibe from last year's show," Jack R. Nerad, executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com said.
The top ten cars and concepts attending the event are, in KBB's view, the following:
"No one thinks the industry is out of the woods yet, but there was a collective sense of renewed energy to move forward. The key emerging trends involve alternative-powered vehicles and in-vehicle technology, but there's no shortage of interesting new conventional vehicles. So, it was a pleasure to pick our Top 10," Nerad added.
The Ford Focus, which managed to clinch the number one spot, will be launched at the same time in Europe and North America in late 2010 and promises to bring with it a revival of the Focus spirit which seemed to have gotten lost along the way in recent generations.
