We previously reported that Kawasaki would be increasing the capacity of their ZX-6R’s engine from 599cc to 636cc, for the 2013 model-year. Well, now, the bike has been leaked onto the web via a video which shows it, alongside the Z800, in a warehouse.
The new ZX-6R features a four-cylinder unit with four valves per cylinder, displacing 636cc, and putting out 129 hp at 13,500 rpm - a full 2,000 rpm lower than what the brand’s older 636cc engines were capable of. The stunning design which the brand is now famous for is complimented by new brakes and new forks.

Now, according to visordown.com, Kawasaki will still be offering the old model alongside the new one, as its 599cc engine will make it race-legal, as not to dent their racing credentials. The bike will be officially revealed in the next few days, and we will bring you more details then.
