Just as the local motorcycle media announced, 2014 brings a new motorcycle to the Indian market: the 2014 Kawasaki Z800, available from today (January 20), and following the Z1000 introduced in December 2013.
Kawasaki Z800 will also be available in the Delhi and Pune dealerships, with a mean price tag of $12,950 (€9,555).
The prices are higher than what Europe gets, for example, but the Z800 arrives in India as a CBU bike manufactured in Japan or Thailand, just like the rest of the CBU machines, and import duties and taxes work their "magic". Even so, the Delhi dealer already has 14 Z800 booked.
India Kawasaki Motors expects to push 200 Z800 bikes through the year and mentions that all servicing will be made at the Probiking centers in the two cities. The retailer targets selling 400 CBU units and 1,400 CKD ones in 2014. The only two CKD bikes are the Ninja 300 and Ninja 650, Autocar India reports.
