Jerry Seinfeld Discusses Comedy with Steve Harvey in a 1957 Chevrolet BelAir Convertible

Jerry Seinfeld Discusses Comedy with Steve Harvey in a 1957 Chevrolet BelAir Convertible 1 photo
At some point of the new episode, Steve Harvey tells Jerry Seinfeld that it’s only when you get a couple of “MFs” when you safely say you’re famous. That’s not just hilarious, but it’s also true, and by saying that you know this is going to be a chat between two great American comedians worth watching. Now we also know what Steve’s favorite car is.

Steve Harvey may have bought a brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe for his wife last year, but it’s only when Seinfeld drove him in a classic American when we learnt the 58-year-old comedian is rather a vintage auto enthusiast. And we can’t but agree with his taste in cars, considering we’re looking at a proper classic.

It’s just like Jerry puts it: this puppy is everything that the American automotive industry offered in terms of design and innovation back in the day. Just listen to that beautiful V8. It may have 270 ponies at its disposal, but we are talking about the 1950s here; it’s more than impressive.

Then, there’s the interior, which clearly qualifies for those days. The US was waving goodbye to the awful war and saying hello to development. Everybody wanted to buy cars, as much as businessmen wanted to become successful. Black top, red silver vinyl interior, and all the golden bits enhance the BelAir’s looks to its utmost glory. There’s no way to miss this beauty, and that clearly shows in the most recent Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

We’re not here to spoil the show, but we are wondering whether or not Harvey has one of them BelAirs of his own. Perhaps he was just doing good for the camera with that reaction, when Seinfeld picked him up at the hotel. Maybe you guys can help us with this enigma.
