Jeremy Clarkson Voiceover for Forza Motorsport 4

As the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 game for the Xbox 360 readies for official release this October, more and more fun facts are starting to surface. For example, thanks to a multi-year partnership with the BBC’s Top Gear, the fourth installment in the Forza Motorsport series will include narration from presenter Jeremy Clarkson.

“His opinions cause millions of fans to guffaw and thousands of car engineers to quiver in their wingtips. And now Jeremy Clarkson is bringing his trademark insight and wit to Forza Motorsport 4,” Turn 10 Studios say.

“Between the incredibly rendered versions of some of the world’s most rare and amazing cars, and Clarkson’s one-of-a-kind commentary, Jeremy helps bring Forza 4’s cars to an entirely new level of entertainment. And that’s just the start of Forza 4...” they add.

The renown automotive journalist will be offering his own take on a number of cars, including the Mercedes SLS AMG, a commentary of which is integrated into a new feature of the name, dubbed Autovista. This is a virtual car showroom that allows users who have the Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect controller to open car doors, examine the wheels and look under the hoods.

“We thought about how people want to interact with cars, to move around one, open the doors, kick the tires,” said Dan Greenawalt, a Turn 10 spokesman. “Our goal with this is to turn gamers into car lovers, and car lovers into gamers.”

The game will also feature the Top Gear test track at Dunsfold aerodrome, near the village of Cranleigh, UK. The Top Gear test track in Forza 4 will also feature authentic camera angles during replays.
