Rosie Tomkins' announcement regarding Jeremy Clarkson quitting Top Gear
So the Daily Star is reporting that Stephen Fry could replace Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear “according to reports.” Nevermind the bollocks, let’s analyze the possibility of this game of BBC musical chairs.
First of all, the 57-year-old actor, comedian, writer, TV presenter and activist struggled to keep his homosexuality a secret in the past, especially during his teenage years. Great Britain has been and still is tolerant to homosexuality, compared to the rest of the world, so that’s no problem for Fry or the BBC.

Truth be told, Stephen Fry is one of the most talented media personalities from the United Kingdom, so all things are looking to back up Daily Star’s reports regarding the replacement.

According to the aforementioned publication, “BBC bosses are reportedly eyeing up the 57-year-old actor as a potential host for the primetime car show.” I find that hard to believe considering that Stephen, a two-time Top Gear Star In The Reasonably Priced Car, once totaled the cheap & cheerful runaround on the track.

I don’t know. The QI comedy panel game TV quiz show sits Stephen better than trying to replicate Jeremy Clarkson’s persona on Top Gear. Furthermore, Quite Interesting had the highest viewing figures of any show that aired in the Noughties on BBC Four. With twelve series already aired, we believe that Stephen Fry will continue to host QI in the detriment of Top Gear.

Last but not least, Stephen once said that "I've never had any illusions about being a lead actor in films, because lead actors have to be of a certain kind. Apart from the beauty of looks and figure, which I cannot claim to have, there's just a particular kind of ordinary-Joe quality that a film star needs to have."

UPDATE: Jeremy Clarkson: "I'll do one last lap of Top Gear track before f****** b******* sack me."
