Jeep to Build Cars in Russia

Does a car get more rugged than a Jeep built in Russia? As weird as this might have seemed decades ago, when Russian offroaders that made it into the history book for the all-terrain capabilities were actually adapted version of US vehicles, it going to happen. It's all part of a globalization scheme that would upset many people from those times.
But enough with Mother Russia's history, let's get down to the facts: Fiat SpA has joined forces with Sberbank Rossii in order to produces Jeep vehicles in Russia. The latter, which is controlled by the Russian government will own 20 percent of the new business, with the rest being handled by Fiat. The new development will see two new factories being inaugurated, with the move set to become an important one, as Russia is Europe’s fastest developing market.
