Jeep Rocks & Road Tour Goes to 2010 Jazz & Rib Fest

The second stop for the Jeep Rocks & Road Tour will take place this weekend in Columbus, Ohio, at the Jazz and Rib Fest starting July 23. As was the case in Syracuse, N.Y. last week. Jeep will try to offer those attending the festival “the ultimate on- and off-road driving test.“

Jeep will set up a Jeep Owner’s Playground, where people can test their driving skills in their own cars, while the entire Jeep lineup will be present for those wishing to take them for a spin. Courses comprising obstacles that simulate the rigorous horrors Jeeps have to go through before reaching the customers will also be on hand to experience.

“We have created the Jeep Rocks & Road Tour to provide our current and potential customers with an adventurous experience that is exclusive to the Jeep brand,” Mike Manley, Jeep CEO said about the tour.

In all, the Jeep Rocks & Road Tour will cover 11 locations, with the road show to be present at air shows and auto shows, fairs and festivals throughout the US. It started last week in New York and will end on October 29 at the Forth Worth Alliance Air Show in Forth Worth, Texas. The next stop will be next week, at the Rockford AirFest 2010 in Rockford, Illinois.

“We are partnering with various venues across the country to reach out to our loyal Jeep consumers, while branching out to those with new interest in the one-of-a-kind Jeep brand,"
added Manley

"This tour provides an ideal venue to experience the countless features and legendary capability offered in the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well the as in other vehicles in the Jeep brand family.”
