Jay Leno told the world last month that he’d send his Fiat 500 Prima Editione to face the auction hammer and that he would send all the proceeds to the Fisher House Foundation.
The time to find out what the little car did has come and we have to tell you that the result is very. very impressive. Leno’s 500 was sold for no less than $350,000 (EUR284,000 at the current exchange rate) by the Gooding and Co. auction house, with Leno, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, and Army Chief of Staff Ray Odiero being on stage.

Just think about it... this is a collectable item, but if you play your cards right, with the aforementioned amount of money, you can buy not one but two supercars! Like Leno said, the funds went to the Fisher House, a charity that offers first-rate housing for families of wounded veterans as they recover.
