Jay Leno usually test supercars from Italy, Germany or even America (if you can call those supercars). But for the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, he got his hands on a Swedish performance vehicle.
No, it’s not the latest Koenigsegg, but the Polestar-developed Volvo C30, a veritable all-wheel drive pocket rocket that was shown as a concept a couple of years back, but could eventually reach production.
Jay is such a gentlemen, even mentioning Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson like the good sport he is!
The car is actually a performance concept meant to show what they could do if no restrictions were placed on the engineers.
At the heart of the vehicle, we find a 2.5 liter engine that uses two KKK 26 turbochargers and a large intercooler to offer 405 hp and 510 Nm of torque. The unit also uses modified pistons, conrods and a re-engineered inlet camshaft. It would be virtually untouchable in its segment!
