Jay Leno Checks Out Hispano-Suiza Dubonnet Xenia

This week, Jay Leno went all classic with his show, switching from the supercars he usually tests to a one-off creation of a French designer.
It’s called the Hispano-Suiza Dubonnet Xenia and it belongs to the Mullin Museum in Oxnard, California. This car basically represents the very peak o inter-war automotive design.

André Dubonnet developed an independent suspension upon which this Hispano-Suiza H6 was to be customized, built specifically for smooth riding and high performance. But it’s the aero shape of the body that leaves everybody breathless.

It’s hard to imagine today that back then, most uber-luxury cars were built like this, using ye olde methods of fabrication, not stamping and mass assembly.

The curves, the grill, the top view is Amazing We love the look of the side windows, the details of the steering wheel.
