Dubbed the Abruzzi “Spirit of Le Mans”, the coupe will be unveiled next month, during the famous 24 Hour French event. The manufacturer has released the first teaser image of the upcoming car to kill all the rumors generated by inaccurate illustrations of the vehicle which have been released on the Internet by various sources.
“We are truly excited about the Panoz Abruzzi - not only about the design and performance of the car - but by the whole concept it represents," said Don Panoz, the founder of Panoz Auto Development.
"The styling is inspired from a classic era when racers would literally drive their own cars to Le Mans to compete and then drive back home. However, the technology of the Panoz Abruzzi 'Spirit of Le Mans' is absolutely leading-edge. We will provide many more details about the concept and some very special elements surrounding this exciting new car next month at Le Mans."
The vehicle includes state of the art design and manufacturing technologies, as its body uses a Recyclable Energy Absorbin Matrix System, which offers environmental, performance and structural advantages. In addition to that, the Abruzzi uses a three-stage cooling that features additional radiators, which lower coolant temperature on both the inflow (to) and the outflow (from) the main radiator. The vehicle will also use LED technology for both functional and styling purposes.
