Iveco, Official Sponsor of Yamaha Racing Team

After it has been the premium supplier of the Fiat Yamaha MotoGP Team for two seasons, Iveco has been named ‘Official Sponsor’ of the world championship winning squad which includes riders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo. The newly signed sponsorship agreement with Fiat Yamaha will run for two years and will benefit both sides.

This will provide worldwide high profile visibility for the Iveco brand and includes the supply of a further four Iveco Stralis Active Space Super heavy trucks, in addition to the two already in use during the past two seasons, plus the supply of the latest EcoDaily light commercial.

The team will make use of the Iveco vehicles during the 2010 season to transfer race bikes and pit equipment to rounds of the forthcoming MotoGP World Championships. kicks off in Qatar on 11 April 2010, and will visit the UK on 20 June for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone – one of the highlights of the motorsport calendar.

“It marks the further development of Iveco’s sports-based sponsorship strategy which has increasingly tied the company to some of the most famous sporting teams in the world, such as New Zealand’s All Blacks,”
a company statement reads.

“Iveco also enjoys a strong relationship with Scuderia Ferrari through its role as official supplier. Together, these three high profile sporting links provide an excellent way of communicating and aligning Iveco’s image to personalities and sporting events at the highest level – each of which enjoy a huge worldwide audience.”
