edo competition unveiled a customized version of the popular Porsche Cayenne GTS, which now provides a bit more power than the stock model combined with a new aerodynamics package, both meant to turn the SUV into a high-performance sports car.

Basically, edo competition upgraded the engine to 450 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm (the standard version only produced 405 horsepower. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is, paradoxically, higher than on the stock variant: 6.4 seconds for edo, 5.7 seconds for the base GTS. However, edo says the engine power was upgraded through new ECU calibration, new high-flow catalytic converters and a high-performance air filter, but no word on a potential altered transmission system that would increase acceleration time.

Braking system was upgraded as well, now featuring six-piston fixed mono-block calipers that “clamp down on thicker and larger diameter brake rotors as well as upsized pads in the front,” as edo competition mentioned in a statement released to the press. The suspension system is now based on a completely new adjustable edo/KW sport suspension set with continuously variable rebound damping and 14-way adjustable compression damping.

Exterior styling received a couple of new elements, including a lower front lip with 4 fog lights and painted wire mesh inserts as well as a hood with colored power domes. edo's Cayenne GTS include new 22-inch forged wheels with stainless steel outer rims, with 295/30 ZR22 Continental tires on both the front and the rear. Custom-painted wheels centers are optional, the aftermarket company mentioned in the statement.

“As with all edo competition models, we set no limit to our customers’ imaginations when it comes to the interior. Color-coded instrument dials, aluminium pedal sets or lavish leather upholstery, individual requests are accommodated and executed with quality.”
