Infiniti has always had sporting ambitions, but the carmaker has only recently introduced a proper performance division, the Infiniti Performance Line. However, the most recent go-fast development of the carmaker is the FX Sebastian Vettel, which was unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show.
The carmaker has now confirmed that the vehicle has received the (limited) production green light. The info comes from an interview with Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer, which was posted on the carmaker’s corporate blog.
The vehicle won’t necessarily receive an IPL badge, but it will be used to demonstrate that Infiniti is capable of offering low-volume versions. It’s not clear yet when or whether the FX Sebastian Vettel will make it to the US market. You can enjoy the full interview in the adjacent video.
Our say: this is just one of Infiniti's presents for Vettel's recenttly-gained second world title.
