While ATV stands for All-Terrrain Vehicle, it's quite obvious that such machinery was engineered to withstand riding on very rough surfaces, full of holes and boulders, stumps, mud, gravel and whatnot.

Since their suspensions and everything are especially tuned to handle the unwelcoming terrain, one could expect they rode like a dream on a smooth forest road. And they actually do!
Smooth and carefree as ATVs ride at high speed on such a surface feel, encountering an obstacle puts a brutal end to all the cozy feelings. The machine will obviously tackle the small hole in the ground, but the rider must compensate for the shifting weight and all.
