What's the best thing in the world besides owning the new 2015 Ford Mustang? Well, we think being able to customize that car as the owner pleases would do the trick.
But the reality is sometimes cruel, and the only savior for such desires is the virtual world. Ford’s popular Mustang Customizer app has been redone, allowing fans of the pony car to shape the car of their dreams by only swiping, tapping and pinching their smartphones.
The 2015 Ford Mustang can, therefore, be customized in different using an enormous color palette as well as bold-looking wheels, spoilers and body panels.
Since the first version of the app was launched in 2012, 5.4 million custom Mustangs were built, and more than 1.6 million app downloads were recorded, says the Blue Oval. Hence, Ford improved the Mustang customizing app with a "dynamic 3D rendering with improved graphics, allowing the car to be viewed from nearly every imaginable angle".
In addition, Ford had another gimmick in store for fans, especially for those with substantial bank accounts that match their imagination.
“Not only is the Mustang Customizer fun, but it allows Mustang fans to visualize their dream Mustang with any number of modifications,” said Zuehlk. “Once fans build their dream Mustang, we want to give them a head start toward making that dream a reality by identifying a Mustang at a local dealership that is most similar to their creation.”
If you're into the showing off game on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the Mustang Customizer allows you to do just that by sharing images on social media platforms. The redesigned customizer is available as a free download from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. A desktop version is set to follow.
