This used to be a Toyota Land Cruiser pickup truck. Now it is just a cluster of metal and glass and looks so bad that you can hardly understand where it begins and where it ends.
Toyotas are built like rocks. They have a reputation for being solid, reliable, capable, and everything in between. Now, a video uploaded on Instagram by Khalid Al Ajmi comes to prove that all these characteristics are true. It is (used to be, actually!) a single-cab pickup version of the Land Cruiser 70 Series, if we can guess right, considering the new shape of the vehicle. The 70 Series was introduced back in 1984, and the tried-and-tested model has survived through all these years largely unchanged.

The video shows the Toyota entering a dealership service station. As the vehicle turns to the right, the driver has to hold the left door in place with his hand so it doesn’t pop open. He must be sitting in a very twisted position in there to be able to drive from inside that warped bunch of metal.

And that door is far from the only damage this vehicle sustained. The roof is squashed, the hood is rumpled, the front fenders are torn, and the doors are so badly deformed that they don't stay closed properly. The front bumper doesn't really look like a front bumper anymore, while the load bed looks like a slide from the playground.

It is obvious that what we see in the video is the aftermath of a rollover. The vehicle goes into the parking lot of a service station. So probably someone is planning to fix it, even though it looks like a complete write-off, without a doubt. According to Khalid Al Ajmi, who spoke to Carscoops after posting the video on Facebook, the owner of the Toyota rolled down from the top of a mountain somewhere in Saudi Arabia.

The car rolled down the cliffs several times. When it came to a rest, the driver extracted himself from the vehicle with no serious injuries. He realized that the engine of his car was still running and the vehicle could still drive. That would all be thanks to the ladder-frame structure of the pickup truck, which was pretty much intact despite the vehicle being slammed against the cliffs. But it surely needs more than some TLC to look like it used to.

The comments of those who watched the incredible video of the smashed Toyota running are worth a look at. One of the users believes that, once it is fixed, this vehicle is going to end up on Facebook Marketplace: "Land Cruiser in mint condition, minor damage on the front bumper," one of them wrote.

"Back tires are a little low," someone notices, as if everything else about the pickup truck is impeccable.
