The British division of Hyundai announced today details and pricing of its new ix20 model, which is set to go on sale at nationwide dealerships on November 18. The car will come available in three equipment levels and three drivetrain options. The trim grades (Classic, Active and Style) have been specifically developed for the UK market.

The entry level Classic trim comes with a height adjustable driver’s seat, ESP, air conditioning, six airbags, active head restraints, radio/CD audio system with six speakers, plus CD, MP3, RDS and USB-/AUX-/iPOD-input capabilities.

Prices start at GBP11,595 ($18,330 / EUR13,300) for the 1.4 petrol, while diesel customers will pay an extra GBP1,400 ($2,200 / EUR1,600).

The next, and most popular, trim level is the mid-range Active. In addition to the Classic specification it gains 16-inch alloy wheels, body colored door handles and mirrors (which are electrically adjustable and heated) and reversing sensors. Inside, Active adds Bluetooth phone connectivity, electric rear windows and audio controls on the leather-trimmed steering wheel.

The Active costs GBP1,100 ($1,740 / EUR1,250) more than the Classic, starting at GBP12,695 ($20,100 / EUR14,500) for the 1.4-litre petrol, GBP14,095 ($22,300 / EUR16,110) for the diesel and GBP14,095 ($22,300 / EUR16,110) for the 1.6-litre petrol automatic.

The range-topping Style specification adds a dual-panel panoramic glass sunroof with UV filter, which spans the front and rear seats. The front panel offers a tilt and sliding function to let the fresh air – as well as light – into the cabin.

Furthermore, the sunroof is equipped with blinds and the rear glass is super-darkened for extra privacy and protection from the sun. In addition to that, front fog lights are standard and the door mirrors are fitted with integrated side repeater indicators and fold electrically.

The Style range starts at GBP13,695 ($21,650 / EUR15,650) for the 1.4-litre petrol, GBP15,095 ($23,860 / EUR17,260) for the diesel and GBP15,095 ($23,860 / EUR17,260) for the 1.6-litre petrol auto. Finally, the only factory-fit extra is metallic paint at GBP395 ($625 / EUR450).
