Today's smart keys make live a lot easier for drivers. You don't have to remember where you put it in your bag and don't have to stick it into the ignition to go.
However, our reliance on electronics has one small disadvantage. The battery in your fob will probably last at least 3 years, but what do you do when it runs out? Well, you could use the emergency key blade.

Just like on a Range Rover, the fob of a Jaguar F-Type has a hidden key. Compared to the other Jags, the door handle on the F-Type is a little bit more complicated. You'll have to pull it out of the way to get to the lock.

By using this method, your car alarm will sound. To deactivate it, press the key fob against the lower dash, just like it's shown in this video. The second clip will show you how to change the battery of the smart key.
