This operation is performed at the service after your car gets its regular maintenance work done.
Still, if you are a gearhead and know how to do them yourself in the garage, you might want to switch off that annoying Maintenance Required light in the dashboard after you service it.
It’s very easy and you don’t need any tools or OBD diagnosis device. The operation can be performed on a Lexus ES 350, the other models’ procedure might be different so we won’t recommend trying it.
The steps are as following:
Turn the car on by pushing the Start button
Set the odometer on Trip A
Turn off the car
Hold the odometer button while pressing the Start button twice (make sure your foot is off the brake pedal this time)
Let go the odometer button after the reset
Start the car normally
