Here’s another easy maintenance job you can perform on a Toyota Sequoia - changing the lightbulb or headlight assembly.
For replacing just the bulb, you don’t need any tools. For replacing the whole headlight you will need a Philips screwdriver and a 10 mm socket ratchet with extender. Here are the steps:
Replacing the lightbulb:
Open the hood
Unplug the wires at the back of the headlight
Remove the rubber sleeve
There is a retainer that you need to push in and lift it at the same time to unlock it
Replace the bulb
Put everything back.
Replacing the whole headlamp:
Open the hood
Unplug the wires from the back of the headlight
Remove the screw at the top of the headlight
Pop the turn signal assembly out
Remove the four 10 mm bolts holding the main headlamp assembly
