Balljoints will use over time and will lead to a bad handling if you won’t change them in time.
However, changing the balljoints on your Toyota Camry is not a very easy job and requires a bit of experience. You’ll need a jack with some stands to secure it, the tyre wrench and a good toolbox.
  • First of all, place the car on a flat surface and secure its position
  • Loosen the wheel’s bolts but don’t take them off yet
  • Lift the vehicle and secure it
  • Remove the wheel nuts and take the well away
  • Remove the safety pin at the tip of the wheel’s hub
  • Unscrew and remove the big nut from the wheel hub
  • Remove the brake caliper and brake pads
  • Take a hammer and knock in the axel’s head to free it
  • Remove the two bolts from underneath the brake disk near the balljoint to free the wheel hub from the control arm
  • Remove the ball joint from the wheel hub and replace it with the new one
  • Mount everything back following the same steps but in reverse.
