Balljoints will use over time and will lead to a bad handling if you won’t change them in time.
However, changing the balljoints on your Toyota Camry is not a very easy job and requires a bit of experience. You’ll need a jack with some stands to secure it, the tyre wrench and a good toolbox.
First of all, place the car on a flat surface and secure its position
Loosen the wheel’s bolts but don’t take them off yet
Lift the vehicle and secure it
Remove the wheel nuts and take the well away
Remove the safety pin at the tip of the wheel’s hub
Unscrew and remove the big nut from the wheel hub
Remove the brake caliper and brake pads
Take a hammer and knock in the axel’s head to free it
Remove the two bolts from underneath the brake disk near the balljoint to free the wheel hub from the control arm
Remove the ball joint from the wheel hub and replace it with the new one
Mount everything back following the same steps but in reverse.
