If your rear windshield wiper started to leave streaks, take a napkin and wipe its rubber blade a couple of times. If it still leaving marks then it’s time to replace it.
Doing that on a Toyota Highlander might seem a little tricky, since the wiper looks very compact and doesn’t seem to have any release button/lever for the blade.
However, it is simpler than you think. Just pull the wiper arm towards you and rotate the blade at about 90 degrees while squeezing it. It will eventually snap from its mounting point and you can remove it.
To put the new one in place follow the same procedure backwards and instead of squeezing blade try and bend it the other way so it will snap into its mounting point. Watch the video bellow to see how it’s done.
