If you’re in love with the brand new Scion FR-S and are thinking about buying one we have some seriously good news. This is the only version sold in North America by Toyota, but despite the lack of the ‘86’ in its name, the automaker is banking that you know about the Corolla AE86 heritage.
That’s why they’ve launched a competition giving you the chance to be one of the first 86 owners of the new front-engined, rear-wheel drive coupe. To be able to register for the first few cars in the country, you have to be registered and logged on to the www.scionfirst86.com website on January 12, 12:00 pm EST.

There will be an 8-hour 6-minute window of opportunity to register after which Scion will draw lots at random to ensure total fairness. We wish you good luck!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
