Now that we know the FT-1 will materialize into Toyota’s next sportscar we can unleash our imagination and guess how the production model might look like.
As Toyota’s sportscar lineup will comprise three models, with the GT 86 being the middle child and the FT-1 being the bigger Supra replacement, we can only think that it will share some design cues.
Like TopSpeed’s renderings here point out, we can imagine that the new Supra will borrow a bit from the 86’s pointy front end, having a hexagonal lower grille and squinting headlights, while the rear end will get a bit more toned down, ditching some of those extreme taillight angles and vents.
The only thing that’s not well integrated into the landscape is that rear spoiler. The final product should really have a retractible one like the LFA.
