The US has a population of around 313-million inhabitants, and a decent chunk of land for the population to be spread on. However, as with most of the world’s countries, the distribution of people is not ideal, and thus huge cities crop up, concentrating millions of people in what is, in the end, a confined space.
Despite everybody thinking that Los Angeles would take the unwanted crown of ‘Most congested US City’, you’d be wrong, as it’s actually Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, where commuters lost/spent around 58 hours on average, stuck in traffic.

Within the top 10 most congested cities in the US, the average time lost/spent is around 40 hours - still an awfully long time to be stuck in traffic, with the most congested stretch of road being a 21km (13 mile) piece of highway in L.A. .
