Honda has released a teaser photo of the next-generation Ridgeline pickup truck, adding that the new vehicle will hit the North American market “in less than two years”.
In addition, the Japanese automaker confirmed that production of the current Ridgeline, which is being built in Alabama, will end in mid-2014.

Honda declined to go into specifics with the next-gen Ridgeline, but senior vice president of American operations said it “will build on Honda's role in creating new value with a new take on advancing form and function in the truck segment.

“With a clear path forward, Ridgeline will play an even more important role in our future product portfolio and strengthen an already class-leading lineup of light trucks,” he added. The new Ridgeline will likely go into production in 2015.

The first-generation Honda Ridgeline was introduced in 2005. It won the North American Truck of the Year in 2006 and was Consumer Reports’ top rated truck in its first year on the market.
