Many automotive producers have made serious efforts to stand out in the crowd of ads at this year’s Super Bowl, but it seems that Honda has been the most determined to do so, with the carmaker going to great lengths for its Big Game spot.
The company released a two-and-a-half minute spot that recreates Ferris Bueller’s 1980’s “Day Off” movie. The company places the 2012 CR-V in the clip and claims that it has included over two dozen references to the original motion picture in the clip. To offer you another idea of how far Honda went, we’ll tell you that the spot was created by Todd Phillips, the man director and writer of The Hangover.
You don’t have to wait until February (the day of the Big Game) to see the ad - you can watch it here.
