Honda announces a new app dedicated to their flagship adventure machine, the CRF1000L Africa Twin. The purpose of this app, that is available for both iOS-powered devices and Android ones, is to provide a new way of experiencing the new motorcycle using handheld devices, but benefiting from the latest cutting-edge visual technologies.
The Africa Twin app uses CGI, advanced 3D modeling, and augmented reality, and this enhances the visual experience to an unprecedented level. Users can take a close-up look at the entire Africa Twin range, as the app includes all the versions and all the colors available in real life for the bikes.
This means that the app offers details on the Standard, ABD and DCT versions of the CRF1000L in CRF Rally, Africa Twin Tricolor, Digital Silver Metallic and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic color schemes.
Using advanced imaging technologies, the Africa Twin can be viewed from virtually any angle and magnified so that the minute details become easy to observe. Cycling through the various colors and models is very easy, just like finding info about the key features.
The app also lets the users "place" their favorite Africa Twin version in various environments and then take photos of the scene. Using the phone's main camera and pointing the device, the Africa Twin can be positioned in various places, both outdoor and indoor, with varying degrees of realism.
