The SFA 150 concept is once more brought to our attention by Honda, even though the bike in the photos revealed ahead of the upcoming 2015 Osaka Motorcycle Show doesn’t seem to be too much different from what the house of Tokyo showed last year in Indonesia. Still, if Honda is still having the SFA 150 on display, we might take this as a sign that the SFA 150 may turn into a production model. Should we?
First of all, Honda has not provided any official info on the bike, and everyone is only guessing what may come from this concept. If anything, we’d say that this looks like one of Honda’s attempts to enter the small-displacement streetfighter market, a segment where the Yamaha MT-125 or the small KTM Dukes currently seem to gain more and more traction.

Price is one of the major issues

Because these bikes are usually bought by a young demographic, the price is one of the main concerns. As good as the SFA 150 looks, certain features, such as the high-tech exhaust partially hidden under the seat or the single-sided swingarm may be ditched in case someone decides to actually manufacture this diminutive streetfighter.

Likewise, the dual stacked headlights look like a million bucks, but we sort of doubt they would be kept in the production version of the bike. As for the trellis frame, this might also hint us on Honda trying to mimic the magic allure of machines such as the Dukes or the recent Ducati Scrambler and try to replicate a recipe for visual success.

Surely this would be a nifty addition in Honda’s roster, especially as the Grom already enjoys a lot of popularity. Our only fear is that the bike which will make is to the street will have almost nothing to do with the cool SFA 150 concept.
