Here's a perfect example of how insufficient riding skills combined with target fixation can ruin the day. I used "ruin the day" because this rider was at least lucky enough to slow down as much as possible and neither he or his bike came off with substantial damage.
However, I've seen the two combined on more than one occasion and I believe that pretty much any other experienced rider has seen how bad can this end, severe injuries, bikes heavily mauled and even dead riders, when high speeds were involved.
Now, it's kind of back to square 2 or three for this fellow, learning again how to actually lean through a turn and avoid understeering and such shameful accidents. Good to see him alright!
