Japan-based automaker Honda has announced pricing and specifications for the CR-V compact SUV equipped with the 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine. Developed exclusively for Europe, the new diesel 1.6 i-DTEC CR-V will arrive in British showrooms starting October with on-the-road prices from £22,800.
Available in three trim levels, the new 1.6 i-DTEC delivers 120 HP and 300 Nm of torque and comes with two-wheel drive only and a six-speed manual transmission. The CR-V returns a combined mileage of 62.8 miles per gallon in S (S-T) and SE (SE-T) forms (Honda says it can cover 800 miles on a tank of fuel), while the range-topping SR variant is rated at 60.1 miles per gallon.
According to Honda, the all-new diesel engine, which is being built at the company’s facility in Swindon, UK, has been developed exclusively for Europe and tested on a variety of roads across the continent.
