Honda Civic Driver Explains Understeer by Crashing

Front-wheel drive cars have come a long way from the Citroen Traction Avant, one of the pioneering cars in the field. Cars like the Honda Civic Type-R (the EP3, in this case) have really taken front-wheel drive chassis engineering to a whole new level, making the Civic a stunning handler.
However, if you end up carrying too much speed into a corner, even the Civic will understeer and go wide, regardless of what you try and do. This Civic Type-R driver does exactly that, and only realizes that he is going to understeer of the road, when it is too late.

His car goes almost in a straight line, despite the fact that his wheels are turned to the right the entire time. The incident took place a few months ago, on the ‘Black Mountain’ road (the A4069, in the UK), a 19 km (12-mile) road made famous by Jeremy Clarkson, who drove a Mercedes-Benz SLK AMG on the very road, a few years back.
