Honda Motors has announced today that despite the setbacks that had to do with the flooding in Thailand, they are on schedule and will begin deliveries of the all-new generation of CR-V across Japan starting later this week on December 2nd.
The new CR-V’s main selling points are the new design and better fuel economy, plus a bigger interior with more cargo space. The Japanese range will see the existing 2.4-liter AWD model being joined by a 2.0-liter FWD model.
Since the introduction of the first generation back in 1995, the CR-V has been sold in 160 countries across the world, and over half a five million units delivered to customers already.
You can expect the JDM version of the CR-V to debut at the 2012 Tokyo Motor Show, which the autoevolution team will be attending, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
