Hofele Design is an old-school tuner that we remember from long, long ago. Back when the Q7 was a novel idea, and there was no BMW X6, this company performed surgery, often with horrible results.
But now Hofele is back, and it's bringing the G-Wagen to our attention. We think it's a better idea to order custom colors from Mercedes than to do this to your SUV. But there's no denying the modified rig with a 50mm lift draws a lot of attention.

Hofele's tuning can be described as putting a round peg in a square hole and vice versa. While the G-Wagen is known for its brick-like design, the German tuning company decided to add a few curves to the Geländewagen's front.

The new bumper it has designed features a silver skid plate in the middle and two air intakes that remind us of the military vehicle. They also changed the grille to the Star Burst design used by the CLS-Class and other sleeker cars.

You might also notice the swollen fender flares that Hofele have enlarged using carbon-fiber. They also added spoilers, which is something you almost never see on an off-roader. Those flares are filled up by custom-designed 5-spoke REVERSO wheels that measure 22x10 inches and are wrapped in wide tires. As you can see from the gallery, these can be ordered in black or silver.

The front roof shield with integrated LED lighting takes its inspiration from the outrageous G63 6x6 and completes the exterior look. And lastly, this package also brings a new bumper with a similar design to the front one, right down to the metal plate and the shape of those (fake) intakes. Everything can be fitted to any G-Class, even if it's a 350d like the one in this photo gallery.

For the G 350 diesel engine the "Hofele Motor Technik” plug and play tuning kit can be fitted, increasing the output from 245 HP to 290 HP and the torque from 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) to 700 Nm (516 lb-ft).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
