Hyundai chose to reveal it’s new HND-9 concept car at this year’s Seoul Motor Show in Korea , which by the way coincides with the 2013 New York Auto Show.
As Hyundai said in a press statement that “the HND-9 with it’s dramatic long hood and wheelbase, is a modern reinterpretation of the elegant image of a classic premium sports coupe.” The concept hints in this way that it is aimed to replace the current Genesis Coupe in the future.
From the renderings, it looks amazing, having an aggressive front fascia, with a large hexagonal radiator grille and elongated headlights. Other design features standing out are the pronounced rear fenders and the butterfly doors.
Hyundai said that the powertrain for their next gen coupe will consist of a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 with direct injection that will develop 370 PS (365 hp), bolted to an 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power to the rear wheels.
