For weeks now, we've been having restless nights, thinking of how the Hyundai ix35 is going to look after it gets a facelift. We knew it was being tested in Sweden and today we got the first official photo of the car and… it looks almost exactly the same.
The mid-life facelift gives the European model is just a little bit different from the front. The headlights now have new Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights.

The grille shape looks the same but is slightly different trimmed and… that's about it. Nothing to see here, move along!

Under the hood, the European model will get a ‘Nu’ 2.0-liter GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) petrol engine producing 163 PS, which supposedly is more efficient than the 'Theta-II' 2.0-liter unit it replaces.

Inside, the ix35 will have a bigger TFT Supervision cluster and better trim.

Full information about the ix35 will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
