Hitting the Asphalt Teeth First Is Not the Kind of Stunt People Would Cheer To

We've all seen crashes like this on many occasions and I dare say that everybody knows at least one guy who can't make the exact difference between riding on public roads and performing stunts on a closed circuit.
Even so, it looks like the videos of people crashing like morons only exert the effect they are expected to have on a tiny fraction of the demographic. That is, making people aware that stunts on public roads or in traffic such as riding without the proper protective gear have excellent odds of ending badly and sometimes, with serious injuries.

Of course, if one likes motorcycle stunts, seeing such videos, and especially those of the pro riders, they might find them inspirational, and I am quite okay with this. After all, looking up to the stunt champions is a great incentive and may represent a wonderful motivational resource.

Well, bike thugs who don't give a flying fudge about their safety and that of other motorists and pedestrians are hardly the example to follow, at least in my book. And it's not because something may go wrong, as situations when things go awry during a stunt are quite common. Actually, due to the very nature of such riding, every guy in his right mind should not be surprised when this occurs.

However, there is a huge difference between losing control of the bike in an empty parking lot or similar place, and this happening in the street. I know that there are a lot of guys out there who think that such talking is useless and that really nasty things only happen rarely. Well, that's pretty much how things go, until you see a bike wheeling out of control, hitting the bystanders and killing a 12-year-old girl. Then ideas start to change and some riders will start to see the dangers of stunts on public roads...

Want to be really cool? Try acting truly cool, such as breaking some records like Guy Martin and his 78.15 MPH Wall of Death or Jorian Ponomareff's insane "trust me, I'm a pro" drift.
