Hillary Swank to Represent the BMW Hydrogen 7

BMW is right now beating the promotional trail in an effort to score some famous faces to stand behind their latest eco-car, the Hydroge 7, the hydrogen-powered luxury sedan. With all the Priuses roaming around Hollywood today, we're guessing they won't have to look very hard, as it seems that most celebrities are environmentally-aware.

BMW has now released a statement saying they've managed to persuade 2-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank to represent the car. They've just handed the keys to her, made her pose for a couple of pictures and that was it. We have to admit, Hillary looks good with the BMW in the background, but she's not the only celebrity involved in this project: BMW tossed famous names on the table like poker chips, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell, Jay Leno, Edward Norton and Cameron Diaz.

All of them got behind the wheel of the BMW which traveled 3.5 million kilometers collectively. The Bavarian automaker boasts an almost 0 emissions thanks to the car's hydrogen-combustion engine.

Hillary was quoted as saying: “I feel very honored being able to drive this forward-looking vehicle for a longer period of time. For me, the car is the result of a responsible research and development. What I'm hoping to do is to get people inspired to be open for alternative energy technologies which bring relief to our environment”.

BMW has long been fiddling with hydrogen technology as a means of replacing petrol-running engines, and it seems that their efforts are paying off. The Hydrogen 7 was first made into a small 100 unit production and it's these cars that are now being handed to celebrities from all fields in hopes of promoting them.
