Toyota just release a new video showing how owners will be able to charge their hybrid plug-ins or electric vehicles’ batteries using the company’s future wireless charging technology.
The system works using magnetic resonance resulted from changes in magnetic field intensity between an emitting coil on the ground and a receiving coil on the vehicle.
So basically, all you need to do is place your vehicle over the ground coil to align with the one on the bottom of the car, turn it off and wait about 90 minutes for the batteries to be recharged.
Toyota also developed a new parking assist function that shows the position of the transmitting coil in the parking space, to aid the driver with positioning the vehicle.
