It's a glorious day for those who got Honda's new generation of half-liter CBR machines, as Two Brothers Racing announces not one but two new aftermarket, high-performance slip-on silencers for these bikes.
The 2013 Honda CBR500R, CBR500F and CB500X can now shave 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg) by losing the stock cans and replacing them with the new TBR exhausts. The bikes receive the traditional V.A.L.E. Black series and an additional Silver Series silencer, both available in either aluminium or carbon fiber finishes.
Two Brothers Racing claims these M-2 exhausts will provide a 2 HP and 2 lb-ft (2.7 Nm) gain at 5500 RPM, while the peak RPM now produces 1.5 extra HP and 1.3 Nm of extra torque.
The TBR aluminium cans for the 2013 Honda CBR500R, CBR500F or CB500X retail for $495.98 (€353) for both Silver and V.A.L.E. Black series, while the carbon trim for the two series will set you back with $534.98 (€411) for the Silver and $559.98 (€430) for the Black.
