German tuning specialist Hartmann has released a new tuning kit for the fifth-generation Volkswagen Transporter van, including both performance and styling upgrades.
The Hannover-built people carrier was gifted with a range of bespoke exterior features, including a new front spoiler, rocker panels, rear skirt, brushed aluminum door sill plates, a set of 20-inch VEST-3 alloy wheels, and sport springs for a 35mm lowered stance. Inside, the Hartmann T5 now sports aluminum pedals and custom floor mats with the company’s logo.
Under the bonnet, the van gained a significant power boost thanks to a couple of extras from Vansports that allow the 140 bhp 2.0-liter TDI engine to deliver 166 bhp. Should customers desire the 2.0-liter BiTDI unit, output will increase from 179 bhp to 212 bhp. Last but not least, the Transporter was fitted with a stainless steel sports exhaust system with 2x80mm tailpipes.
